UFC Rankings Dataset

A historical dataset containing Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) rankings over time. It tracks the divisional and pound-for-pound rankings of fighters across various dates, providing a longitudinal view of a fighter's status within the promotion.

Format

A data frame (tibble) with 99,847 rows and 4 variables:

date

The date the ranking was published (YYYY-MM-DD).

weightclass

The weight division or ranking category (e.g., "Pound-for-Pound", "Heavyweight", "Women's Strawweight").

fighter

The name of the fighter.

rank

The fighter's numerical rank in the specified weight class on that date. A rank of `0` typically designates the reigning Champion.
